sounds a bit too choppy in my opinion.
try not to throw your bass patches all over the place in the drops and keep a rhythm that's a bit steadier. i'm not saying make it less interesting, but it's kind of all over the place. also, try not to overcompress and throw hundreds of effects into your drops. takes away that 'boom'-effect it could have
i really like the idea behind this one.
depending on what software you are using, check your audio latency settings. that's probably the lag you're describing.
when you recorded your midi, you can then (in most DAWs) edit the midi. if you experience input lag, try quantizing the notes to your project tempo. this will all come to you over the course of the next months and while finding out what your DAW can do. if you don't know what i'm talking about, google those keywords. they will most likely help you.
also, i'd try adding more synths and giving the song more structure. but like i said, that'll probably come to you, anyways.
also, try lowering your synth's volume a bit to avoid distortion and clipping.
Thx for the tip :)
i really like this song and it's melody, especially in the drop. try filling the verses with more stuff. something that gives texture. the hat at the beginning sounds weird. it doesn't really fit if it's used so little.
the buildup and drop sound very good. you should add some sub bass and some more synths in the drop to make it sound fuller.
at 1:00, it really gets a push. sounds very good. try adding some sidechain in the chorus and halftime section. it's a really good song. and try turning down the sub a little.
just like the other song, i really enjoyed this one. somehow, this and the sanny song don't seem to have any low end. it's sad since the songs are pretty well done. try to get more full sounding drum samples (or find a way to not cut out the low end)
i'm really not hearing any lack of low end on this one. not sure what you're using to listen to these but maybe that's the problem? i appreciate the reviews though.
the guitars sound very nice. overall, the song needs more low end and a change in rhythm for the drums. gets very repetitive already after the first ~30 seconds. also, try to find drum samples that sound fuller. in terms of having more low end and a higher quality (the high end seems to be cut off).
other than that, i really enjoyed it.
the drum pattern is ripped directly from the original composition, i didn't want to change it. yeah the mixing isn't perfect on this one, but if you listen to my original upload it's a huge step up.
this sounds very solid. i'd try to add some chord synth for the beginning. only having that one synth at the beginning seems a little empty.
try not to compress the drums so harshly. give your track more space to breathe. also, the fx could generally need more sustain.
when using highpasses, you should turn it down BEFORE the drop hits. if you only begin turning it down on the first kick, it doesn't have any punch, since all the bass is taken away.
try experimenting with a few more synths with different structures.
this sounds nice. use some more crashes and turn down that subby, short 808 a little. is a bit too loud for my taste. that synth at 1:40 could also be more present. it adds nice variety to the sound. same with the chords introduced at 2:05. they really make a huge difference. give them the opportunity to shine :3
Thanks for the comment. I will work on that. ^_^
bass could need more definition, a bit more stabbiness. but my dude, this is sick. damn.
catchy. nice texture. sounds very good!
